For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted. all references to Carey Consultants include https://careyconsultants.com . By using the Carey Consultants application forms you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Carey Consultants Privacy Statement
This privacy statement describes how CAREY CONSULTANTS collect, use, and share personal data about individuals in the United States. Individuals outside the United States should refer to the privacy statements for their country or contact our office for further information.
Employment Data
Employment data is only provided by the candidate themselves; unless directed by HR official or hiring officer of the company to which they are applying.
Consumer Reporting Activity
Carey, is by definition a consumer reporting agency, as defined under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) and certain similar state laws and regulations. We comply with the FCRA requirements regarding the collection, use, and sharing of personal data used in our background reports.

Name and contact information. Your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other similar contact information; present & former addresses, employers, locations, social security number, date of birth, driver’s license #, etc. See below;
Identifiers. Government-issued identifiers, such as a social security number, individual taxpayer identification number, passport number, or driver’s license number, and other state-issued identification numbers, as well as other unique identifiers such as those associated with your device.
Demographic information. Information about you such as your age, gender, country of origin, etc.
Payment information. Our website does NOT accept payment of any kind; the employer is billed by our accounting staff at the end of each month.
Financial information. Information about your financial accounts, such as outstanding balances, bank holdings, loan history, bill payment history, and insurance information. In some cases this includes corresponding account numbers. This information is generally collected in our applicable affiliate’s capacity as a credit reporting agency under the FCRA, and, in those instances, our collection, use, and sharing of this information is regulated by the FCRA. We are also provided with this information when acting as a service provider to financial institutions, in which cases our use of the data is regulated by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”). NORMALLY CREDIT REPORTS ARE ONLY SUPPLIED BY OUR OUTSIDE VENDOR IF THE CANDIDATE IS APPLYING FOR A FINANCIAL RELATED POSITION. This is a miniscule part of our business.
Commercial information-Not applicable
Internet or other similar network activity; LinkedIn and other business social media profiles may be reviewed and subject to verification.
Device information. Information about the devices you use to access is NOT collected. Your IP address may be used to identify the general geographic location of your device.
Professional or employment-related information. Information regarding your employment status, history, and compensation. This is typically provided by your employer or its payroll provider as a result of Carey providing an employment solution your prospective employer, or otherwise collected through our vendor’s capacity under the FCRA.
Education information. Information regarding your education history, including degrees earned and student loan financial information.-Normally, we utilize an outside company to provide confirmation of educational activity.
Information drawn from personal data via social security number; addresses utilized for further criminal checking based upon a 7 years jurisdictional search.
Public records information. Information about you lawfully made available by federal, state, or local governments. This includes information about legal proceedings in court records, incarceration records, and business ownership and affiliation information included in secretaries of state filings.
Photos. For authentication purposes, in some circumstances we may request copies of your photo identification; in particular for drivers license abstracts.
SECURITY
We are committed to protecting the security of your personal data and use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no data transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect the personal data we maintain, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us. Carey Consultants complies with applicable data protection laws, including security breach notification laws.
STORAGE & USE
Our main vendor partner storing the bulk of our requests host our information in the Microsoft Azure system(which is a cloud based system) and are SOC2 certified.
Employers. Companies provide us with personal data about their employees, including prospective and former employees. We usually receive this information as part of providing services to our Workforce Solutions customers. Employment and compensation information is sometimes provided by your employer’s payroll provider on your employer’s behalf.
When the candidate consents to the collection and use of this information, they acknowledge and agree that the Parties may share biometric information with other service providers and vendors for use in the verification process. Otherwise, we will not disclose or provide any face geometry or other biometric information to third parties without first obtaining additional consent.
Your consent to this Notice of Collection, Storage, use and Destruction of Biometric Information prior to submitting the photos signifies your written release to us to collect, store, use, and eventually destroy the face geometry and other biometric information that we may derive from the information that you submit to us.. Carey normally deletes the data immediately received after we receive the background form; hard copies are normally stored, under lock & alarm for the appropriate number of years. We only receive a copy of an individual’s driver’s license for verification purposes.
CONSUMER RIGHTS REQUEST
Our FCRA form is available on our website; each candidate must review and acknowledge receiving before we commence with the background check.
CAREY CONSULTANTS NEVER RE-SELLS ANY CANDIDATE INFORMATION TO ANY PARTY.
For our employers/ clients:
Employers. Companies provide us with personal data about their employees, including prospective and former employees. We usually receive this information as part of providing services to our client. Employment and compensation information is sometimes provided by your employer’s payroll provider on your employer’s behalf. . We also receive this information when former employers provide us with information about a former employee.
Collection of your Personal Information
We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However. you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) registering for an account: (b) submitting an application for employment personal information verification: (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties: (d) sending us an email message: (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. To wit, we will use your information for, but not limited to communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. We also may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.
Use of your Personal Information
Carey Consultants collects and uses your personal information to operate and deliver the services you have requested.
Carey Consultants may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Carey Consultants and its affiliates.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
Carey Consultants does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.
Carey Consultants may share data with affiliates to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, or provide customer support. Right to Deletion
Subject to certain exceptions set out below on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

• Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Children Under Thirteen
Carey Consultants does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen. you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this application .
Opt-Out & Unsubscribe from Third Party Communications
We respect your privacy and give you an opportunity to opt-out of receiving announcements of certain information. Users may opt-out of receiving any or all communications from third-party partners of Carey Consultants by contacting us below.

Carey Consultants reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time.
